He found his place in this world. That’s nice to see. I admire that. Currently, I’m watching the Jazz v Lakers game. All I hear is Metta World Peace this and Metta World Peace that!Metta. World. Peace. I fucking love Ron Artest aka Metta World Peace. Since thanking his hood AND his psychiatrist at the 2010 finals to changing his name, I must admit, I love World Peace’s honesty and fearlessness. Dude is hella funny, sharp and witty— both on and off the court. I’m not a Lakers fan by any means, but I am definitely looking forward to watching him play and subsequently, what will come out of the commentators/reporters/bloggers/players when addressing/talking/discussing World Peace. Can you imagine, “World Peace at the buzzard…” or “it’s come to the last free throw of the game for World Peace…” or “World Peace has been ejected…” or “World Peace hits the game winning shot…” or “foul on World Peace…” or “World Peace has been fouled…” the double entendres are limitless and hilarious. But more importantly it gets people thinking and engaging in conversations that they probably normally wouldn’t discuss. Regardless of whatever World Peace’s intentions are, for me it alludes to human rights issues around world peace (or the lack thereof) and I am thankful he’s painting a much larger picture for the NBA and its spectators to think about. Metta is a genius and he brings personality, originality and honesty back to the game. I support World Peace!
On a side note, I’m hella juiced for the 25th; go Chicago Bulls!
